Holiday Cottages in Hartland
Did you know that one of the most outstandingly beautiful parts of North Devon is the Hartland Peninsula? The entire outcrop is an AONB swept by the waves of the Atlantic, wetted by rushing waterfalls, covered in ancient species of trees and flora, and home to myriad wildlife and sea life. It could be home to you for a short break or longer with a Hartland holiday cottage…
Remote cottage holidays are rarely as fruitful. From pretty much any spot along the wild headland of Hartland Point soak up the views of this spectacular stretch of Devon coastline. Despite feeling like you’re in the middle of nowhere there is history and activities in spades and the local heritage trail tells all. Hartland village proffers a welcoming community, craft shops, cafes and eateries. On Hartland Quay discover tales galore at the Shipwreck Museum and set your imagination alive envisaging the busy port this once was as far back as the 1500s. The original Hartland Abbey was the last monastery to be dissolved by Henry VIII and today remains in the family to whom it was bequeathed by HRH – it’s worth a peek.
Get there before everyone else does by booking one of our Hartland holiday cottages.
